In 2006, Adam established New Forest Wealth Management, Partner Practice with St. James's Place. Adam has worked hard to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge and has a technical approach to financial planning. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Adam spent time working in Parliament as an agent organiser while he completed degrees in Politics & International Relations, a Master’s degree in Political Philosophy, and a Master’s degree in Business. Adam is currently working towards his PhD looking at financial services and Game Theory.
Adam is a Society of Later Life Advisers Partner with a specialist interest in long-term care advice. He is also an expert in tax and trust planning and holds the advanced CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) paper in taxation and trusts. Additionally, he is a Fellow of The Society of Will Writers and holds the advanced certificate in will preparation with The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Adam was awarded the Chartered Adviser of the Year Award in 2019 in recognition of his quality of advice. Adam is committed to ensuring that his industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing strong emphasis on personal development. This, along with the pride and dedication placed on developing solid personal relationships with his clients, ensures that he is able offer a rounded, professional and principled service.
Adam divides his time between servicing clients’ needs and providing educational talks to the public and professionals on will writing and estate planning. His principal focus is providing intergenerational financial advice to help clients’ money grow free and unfettered by unnecessary taxation or other burdens.
A retired sled dog racing champion, when not at work, he (still) plays football, is a keen tennis player, a reluctant runner, and an incompetent car mechanic where Adam spends time taking an otherwise working classic Mini apart and putting it back together again which he rather grandly claims as a rolling restoration project. It is wise to engage Adam in matters of financial planning rather than accepting his overeager attempts to provide his unique ‘assistance’ in matters mechanical.
The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested.
The levels and bases of taxation, and the reliefs from taxation, can change at any time. The value of any tax relief depends on individual circumstances.
Wills and Trusts are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Will writing involves the referral to a service that is separate and distinct to those offered by St. James's Place.
